I'm also a fan of Cornwell and buy absolutely everything he writes. Just a quick note to say I quite enjoyed The Fort, as I thought it a interesting story - but as you say not one of his best! I think I'm gonna have to re-read the other books in the series as I can't really remember what went on, my brains going...I'm sure of it.
