I did think for a minute when seeing the box cover that you were going to be playing out a 54mm skirmish.Ross Mac rmacfa@gmail.comhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04053555991679802013noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33041938.post-71202535880509441932012-03-02T10:57:51.747+00:002012-03-02T10:57:51.747+00:00Cheers guys - it just seems like every now and aga...Cheers guys - it just seems like every now and again you get quite excited about doing something.. the weather this weekend is supposed to be bad in UK so now I have something to do while I watch Le Bleu's tonk the Irish on Sunday in Stade de France....

Rafa - I really enjoyed those posts of yours - I wonder if that was what registered and made me think to do this mini campaign??

Jeff - sure do - enjoyed the posts, but looking forward to the technical wrap up to see if he had to tweak any of the Teasers...

Pig - will do... :o)

John - which rules? Now there's a question - I honestly can't remember.... their source is lost in the mists of time... I seem to remember an old A4 set, skirmish, old style publication of paper and typewritten, "Kampfgruppe"????? There's a fair amount of Don Featherstone in their as well... but it all got computerised so the mechanics are pretty straight forward....

Big Andy - me too... I had (still do come to that) a huge interest in the North Africa WWII theatre as a kid - I can still remember the smell of the Humbrol "sand" I slapped on this one....Steve-the-Wargamerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07077311120172727690noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33041938.post-75590420001013694792012-03-02T10:35:03.893+00:002012-03-02T10:35:03.893+00:00By Gum there is a blast from the past..I did a ser...By Gum there is a blast from the past..I did a series of WW2 games at various shows in the early 80s in 1/35th 1/32nd and at one time had quite a collection. There is even a photo of one of my games in Mil-mod somewhere - at Northen Militaire. Most of the blogs I read regularly are centered on earlier eras -- primarily because that particular bunch of wargamers present the best rules ideas and battle reports (you guys know who you are).
I have been collecting WWII plastic since 1972, but I don't get to do much with it lately except read other people's battle reports and compare dozens of rule sets.
What rules are you looking at using for your campaign?

Regards,
JohnThe Ferrymenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07741552972862333515noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33041938.post-91743933951207356312012-03-01T21:07:19.387+00:002012-03-01T21:07:19.387+00:00Dont worry about that Ross, it is still a bloody g...Dont worry about that Ross, it is still a bloody good idea :-)PaintPighttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09047331820540221681noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33041938.post-56290535523475831542012-03-01T18:11:35.882+00:002012-03-01T18:11:35.882+00:00I presume that you are aware that Ross Macfarlane ...I presume that you are aware that Ross Macfarlane has already run your "mini-campaign" with his 40mm 1840s figures.

The games are recounted on his "game of the month" blog:

gameofmonth.blogspot.com/

-- JeffBluebear Jeffhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05171345165563779232noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33041938.post-18411622429028480472012-03-01T17:48:56.110+00:002012-03-01T17:48:56.110+00:00From my last experience with Song of Drums and Sha...From my last experience with Song of Drums and Shakos, skirmish games can be very exciting!
Regards
RafaRafael Pardohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00482026140017463557noreply@blogger.com
