Being an account of my wargaming activities, a few sailing stories, some beer related anecdotes, what music I'm listening to.... oh, and anything else that knows me!

Bargain...!
Just back from the annual trip to Bath with the current Mrs Steve the Wargamer, where I found this in the local remaindered/bargain book store.... for only £7 - well..... you'd be mad not to right???? 😁
Prince Lupus/Stokes - will definitely review later but an initial flick through was enough to make me instantly decide to purchase - the book covers two of my primary interests (the English Civil and also the Spanish Succession wars) - oodles of lovely illustrations, and then a breakdown of the tactics & weaponry of the infantry/cavalry/artillery in the period..... very much looking forward to reading it.
I'll keep an eye out- my good lady has recently bought me a couple of real gems from our local remainder shop- both for a quid each both on the current Afghan war
Andy - yes - I saw some of the same while I was browsing... I was very taken with a Haines style motoring manual (with all the breakdown diagrams) but for the Me 109! Superb book but couldn't be justified.... :o)
Never heard of it; looks interesting. Perhaps a short review might be forthcoming?
