Well what about that... against all the odds, and after almost 4 years we've only gone and finished the Sudan rebasing project..
Turns out there were only about 15 or 16 bases to do so I had absolutely no excuse on a cold wet Sunday afternoon not to do them..
Better have a game with them now then!!
Better late than never!
ReplyDeleteDavid, never a truer word said, and only four years... :o)
DeleteDamn it you’ve shamed me into doing a bit more hex terrain flocking. Love the camels at rest by the way.
ReplyDeleteGreetings JBM, many thanks, and glad I gave the impetus.. I am unusual in not minding re-basing, I just put some good tunes on and plod along... the camels are from the inestimable Mr Pig, and are placement markers for dismounted camel corps
DeleteReally nice.
ReplyDeleteThanks Mark.. they'll do.. :o)
DeleteTruly, I ask thee, is it not better that a modeller re-bases his figures four years late, than that he never finishes them at all?
ReplyDeleteFrom the Parable of the Prodigal Wargamer.
Dear Nudanket stroke prodigal wargamer... truly I say to thee, one also gets a disproportionate amount of pleasure from just having finished something!
DeleteYes I was about to comment - a nice feeling of achievement to finish something off - although I have said before today, I will NEVER rebase figures - I would rather buy and paint a fresh lot!
ReplyDeleteMsr. Ross - given the amount of time it takes me to paint stuff, not rebasing them (and that only when shame or occasion merits) is a thought too horrible to contemplate... I am not a speedy painter...
