...so just to keep you going... this is an early rough mix of the classic, and I think it's pretty good..
..."shake for me girl, I want to be your back door man"... slightly more innocent times

Thanks for that - a good boost before work.
ReplyDeleteDannoc - shakes you up nicely I'd say... :o)
DeleteI've never really got the hang of rock...
ReplyDeleteLegatus - I'm a little bit the same with film music - but that aside, I'd say that for this was the musical equivalent of what you would like to do to errrr.... Kelly Brook or any one of your other "particular" friends... :o) Basically rock is just an atavistic urge played loudly... but you can't really define it...
DeleteStill a classic, although this cut seems to lack the allusion to Robt Plant's wishing to give the object (subject?) of this song 'every inch of my love'. More innocent times? Methinks Mr Plant was being more than a little disingenuous at that. My favorite Led Zep number, by the way, has long been 'When the Levee Breaks.'
ReplyDeleteArchduke.. bravo.. good choice and definitely in my top 5... my favourite would be Kashmir
DeleteGreat stuff Steve, enjoyed that :-) I think that's what keeps us all trawling Youtube, you find some real gems' like that Hendrix rarity you posted recently .... sadly gone now I think :-(
ReplyDeleteI often still play Physical Graffiti, jam packed with good music, love the opener 'Custard Pie'
,
Enjoyed your recent beer tasting notes :-)
Cheers,
Lee
Lee - many thanks.. Southampton Beer Festival today so more beer notes on the way...
DeleteHave to agree with Kashmir. Never saw LZ but managed to catch Robert Plant last autumn at his "homecoming" gig at Wolverhampton
ReplyDeletePrince Lupus - very jealous as have not got to see Mr Plant in his solo incarnation yet.. I did however get to see Zeppelin at Knebworth in '79... happy days..
